Before and after
Who are veneers well suited for?
Veneers are suitable for adults from the age of 18. Before this age, teeth can still undergo changes that would impact the look of the veneers.
Can I smoke with veneers?
As a general rule, you can treat your veneers as if they were your natural teeth, which means you can smoke. However, smoking is a health risk in any case and increases the risk of gum disease.
Although veneers do not discolour due to nicotine consumption, other health risks remain.
Is the veneer treatment painful?
During preparation for the treatment you may experience temporary tooth sensitivity, as a thin layer of enamel is removed to apply the veneers. However, the sensitivity will gradually decrease.
Can I eat and drink anything with veneers?
With veneers you can eat and drink as usual. Veneers do not discolour even when consuming certain foods. In general, you can treat your veneers as if they were your natural teeth.
Note: just like your natural teeth, veneers are not indestructible. When biting hard surfaces, the wafer-thin ceramic shells may break.
